"LOTE44" a Ya Guey Story - El Salvador Surf Adventure Film
A previously hostile and war-torn nation back on the incline in the surf community, El Salvador is home to some of the best right - hand point breaks in Central America, and they haven’t been accessible to most tourists until recently. While the exact location will remain confidential to preserve its tranquillity, we found ourselves a small surf town to call our home away from home now that peace reigns.
The reference of “war” for the locals is a sensitive one. Most lived through chaos and were directly affected by its outcome. But the people stayed dedicated to their country and have built something really special. The theme of perseverance is depicted by Tyler Childers, saying “you can set my house on fire, you can turn it into cinder and smoke.” We are truly thankful to now reap the benefits of El Salvador. Joined by new friends from different walks, we all came together to explore a beautiful country and get on some premier waves. Always fueled by Mangos!
