"LOOSE CHANGE" - a Short East Coast Surf Film
Hurricane season works wonders at home sweet home on the Atlantic coast of the continental United States, in a small state called Delaware. When the Atlantic turns on, the surf community comes out of hiding for a marathon of waves, however long they may last. When you live in DelMarVa and you see waves on the forecast, there is an abrupt change in action from anything you may have been doing prior to. This includes work, pleasure, or just waiting around for a pulse.
The short film opens with our crew playing poker and pinball in a friend’s basement, which is what most of our days are spent doing in late season summer. But when a back to back Tropical Storm swell hits, all we can think about is waves.
Although the conditions are far from firing, we still find ways to make it fun, squeaking every last drop out of those surf days as we can.
Filmed by Todd, edited and produced by Beau. Special thanks to the Pinball Wizard in Dewey Beach, DE.
